Can I use your Country Chic paint on glass or metal?

Yes, metal and glass can be painted. However, these types of surfaces may be difficult and therefore we recommend testing the paint on a small area first, giving it plenty of time to dry, then doing a scratch test with your fingernail. If the paint can be removed easily, it's best to use a primer on your piece before painting it. Another option is covering the final paint coat with Tough Coat.

Can I use Country Chic Paint on fabric?

Yes, you sure can! Instead of re-upholstering, you can now consider painting the fabric parts of your piece! It is recommended that you spray a light mist of water on the fabric before painting. To get a more flexible finish on fabric, you can try using a fabric medium (for sale at craft stores). Anything that you'd want to wash, make sure to let it cure for a least a week, preferably longer.

Is Country Chic Paint a chalk paint?

Country Chic Paint contains chalk and minerals and we therefore refer to it as a chalk-based paint. Please note that our paint cannot be referred to as "chalk paint," because Annie Sloan has trademarked the name chalk paint, so no other company is legally allowed to use this term. So when referring to our paint, make sure to call it "chalk-based paint," and NOT "chalk paint."

What makes Country Chic Paint unique?

Country Chic paint is a chalk and mineral based paint, as well as a clay-based paint, both of which are specifically designed for refinishing furniture and home decor. Both of our fabulous paint lines are eco-friendly, virtually odorless, and contain no harmful solvents, making them safe for your health and the environment. Additionally, it's super easy to apply Country Chic Paint and to create a distressed look. Once cured, it creates a very durable finish that will last for many, many years.
